This is a new shape for me. I was thinking about maple tree seed pods (samaras) and how they floated to the ground like helicopters. I made three designs and tested them. Two failed and this one was the big winner. The first thing that hit me when I thought about painting it was how it looked more like a mustache than a maple seed pod. So here you go. Like all of my boomerangs it is made of 5 ply Baltic birch plywood. It has been hand-painted with acrylics and sealed against scuffing and moisture with clear enamel spray paint. The dimensions are 16.5 × 10 x .25 inches. Recommended for ages 10 years and up. Let your mustache fly!
